What is Sculptra®?

Sculptra® is a leading injectable used to restore volume, reduce wrinkles, lines, and creases, and revitalize the appearance. It is often used as a component of a liquid facelift. As a biostimulator, unlike hyaluronic acid-based fillers, Sculptra® works by jumpstarting collagen production to firm and tone the skin from within, gradually over time. Collagen is an all-important protein in the body that is responsible for the supple, resilient, hydrated glow of youth.

Over time, collagen reserves dwindle, necessitating rejuvenation with a product like Sculptra®. The key ingredient in Sculptra® is called poly-L-lactic acid, a compound that is slowly absorbed over time as it works to replenish collagen reserves. This is the same substance used safely in the medical field for decades in the form of dissolvable sutures. Sculptra® has been used successfully in the cosmetic industry since 1999.

Where can Sculptra® be administered?

Sculptra® is an excellent solution for treating nasolabial folds and loss of volume in the cheeks. It can also combat hollowness in the temples, marionette lines, and chin wrinkles, among other concerns. After Sculptra®

While there is no downtime to speak of after Sculptra®, patients may experience minor swelling and redness at the injection sites. These side effects typically fade within a few hours or by the next day. It’s a good idea to avoid alcohol, salty foods, and intense exercise immediately after your session. Sleeping with your head slightly elevated will help prevent excess swelling. Results can be immediate with some other HA-based fillers, but with Sculptra®, changes will gradually appear over the course of about six weeks as collagen production is accelerated. Full results can be seen after three months.

Am I a good candidate for Sculptra®?

Ideal candidates for our Sculptra® in Phoenix, Tempe, or Glendale are healthy individuals who are seeking subtle, natural-looking enhancement via non-surgical means. They may be unhappy with signs of facial aging, such as volume loss, wrinkles, creases, and folds. Sculptra® is not a solution for treating the areas around the lips and eyes, however. Pro-Nox is a safe and popular solution for managing anxiety during aesthetic injection treatments. The system allows patients to release Nitrous Oxide (N2O) into their bodies through a mouthpiece.
